Description

Hollow glass microspheres based on soda-lime borosilicate, chemically stable, non-porous, and insoluble in water.
Specially formulated for compressive strength.
Low alkalinity: compatible with most resins, with long-term stability of properties and viscosity.
Non-flammable.
White filler.
Spherical shape:

Optimal volume-to-surface ratio
Low resin consumption
Lower viscosity at the same volumetric filler content
Reduced shrinkage and resin savings
Suitable for spraying, casting, and molding

Applications of Glass Cell:

Coatings: lightweighting before lamination of cellular foams, finishing prior to painting.
Filling function by increasing resin volume, syntactic foam.
Mechanical performance and chemical inertness.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Physical form: Powder
Color: White (non-contractual color)
Average diameter: 55 microns
Maximum diameter: 125 microns
Oil absorption: 310–360
Thermal conductivity W/m·K at 20 °C: 0.02–0.12
Dielectric constant: 1.36
Alkalinity ASTM: < 0.5 meq/g
Volatile matter: < 0.5% by weight or < 2% by volume
Softening point: 600 °C

excellent en compression

A mélanger lentement avec une résine (ça vole partout, masque recommandé) pour obtenir une pâte homogène et réaliser des sandwiches légers et résistants. Utilisation aéronautique.
