Description

SC Color Flakes is a range of synthetic pearlescent pigments in the form of lamellar mica particles coated with titanium dioxide combined with a colored pigment. The particles have a size ranging from 10 to 60 µm and are perfectly compatible with most thermosetting resins, particularly epoxy resins.

They are commonly used in casting mixtures or varnishes for decorative applications (river tables, jewelry, etc.).

Dosage / Mixing:

The amount of SC Color Flakes to add to the resin mixture varies depending on the desired result. However, an approximate range can be given depending on the level of transparency or opacity required.

For a very transparent effect: 0.02% (1 g of powder per 5 kg of mix)
For an intermediate effect: 0.05% (1 g of powder per 2 kg of mix)
For a nearly opaque effect: 0.1% (1 g of powder per 1 kg of mix)

We recommend mixing the powder into the resin component first, before adding the hardener.
