Creation of engine cowlings, wheels as well as a complete marouflage of the fuselage, wings and tail elements with composite resin!
This Cauldron is mainly built in Balsa and CTP aviation for the parts subjected to strong constraints.
Nevertheless, the realization of the various covers was made with fiberglass E Taffetas 86 g/m² to reach more complex forms.
The glass fabrics and resin SR1500 applied in several layers (3) with a roller and/or a brush, on hump molds, without using vacuum.
Epoxy resin was also used with the addition of microballoons to correct certain imperfections.
Finally, to reinforce the resistance of the cell and increase its longevity, apart from the crash, the whole was marouflaged with glass cloth of different weights and in a single layer with a roller.
Thanks to Jérôme Pellet!
