Handcrafted telescope built with carbon fabric and SR 1500 epoxy system

Mr. Didier Vincent shares with us his creation with the help of products from our store, what better than his testimony to know the construction method:

  "The manufacturing method is quite simple, I work in contact either with molds of shapes for some complicated parts face by face, which is quite long and also to obtain flat and finished surfaces. I laminate the part by positioning it on a glass plate that I have previously coated with Cirex FK 1000P/FK89 release agent.

The parts concerned do not support important mechanical efforts, on the other hand the fabric of carbon HR 3K taffetas 193gr/m² is very interesting as for the weight and the thermal stability.

I also use carbon tubing into which I insert aluminum end caps that I glue with SR 1500 epoxy and silicell filled resin. "
